Representatives from several consortium partners recently paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner to provide an update on their ongoing projects, discuss the way forward, and offer recommendations for future collaboration.
Mr. Warun William, representing CEPO, emphasized the organization's commitment to reconciliation projects, including civil-military dialogues, construction of radio infrastructure, and the dissemination of key sensitive messages to communities. He also appealed for infrastructural reforms to support the organization's efforts in promoting peace and empowerment.
While Mr Lado Denis COA, who works with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), highlighted the organization's focus on infrastructural development and livelihood support for communities. He emphasized the importance of sustained government support for the projects implemented by IOM to ensure their long-term impact and sustainability.
During the meeting, Mr. Freza Lemi, the project assistant FCA, shared insights into the organization's focus on livelihood, education, and peace-building initiatives.
Mr.Batali Oliver, on behalf of WPDI, reiterated the organization's commitment to conflict resolution and education programs, while also appealing for improved road connectivity to enhance the effectiveness of their projects.
Additionally, the Peace Committee Chairman Rt. Bishop Elioba Lako commended the consortium for its support and highlighted the significant contributions made through civil dialogues. The Chairman further appealed for open space for peaceful negotiations with holdout groups to foster lasting peace in the region.
Hon. Robert John Lasu Morris expressed his satisfaction with the collaborative efforts of the consortium partners and pledged to work closely with each organization to achieve common goals.
Moving forward, the consortium partners are dedicated to strengthening their partnerships, enhancing project effectiveness, and working towards sustainable development and peace in the region.

A delegation of inter-church committee leaders, led by ECS Bishop Rufus Joel Lemi, this afternoon held a meeting with the Commissioner to discuss county development initiatives and promote unity among the community.
During the meeting, Bishop Rufus Joel Lemi emphasized that the appointment was guided by God's love, underscoring the importance of unity among the residents. He further highlighted the benefits of restructuring the county for efficient planning and resource allocation.
Mr. Senosi Yokwe echoed the sentiment of unity and stressed the significance of equal representation in all five payams to foster a sense of inclusivity and solidarity among the residents.
In response, the Commissioner expressed his commitment to fostering unity and collaboration in the county. He pledged to fellowship in all the churches within the county on different days to strengthen ties with the community and demonstrate solidarity with the religious institutions.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both the inter-church committee leaders and the Commissioner reaffirming their dedication to working together for the betterment of the county and promoting a harmonious environment for all residents.
